Description

This course is intended to develop the skills required to understand the operation of Abrasive wheels tools and machinery.

This course is designed and structured to provide training in the safe use of abrasive wheels and meets with requirements of the Provision  and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98)

This Course Covers:  

  • Hazards, risk and environmental impact arising from the use of abrasive wheels
  • Methods to minimise risk whilst using abrasive wheels
  • Regulations and associated documentation with abrasive wheels and their application
  • Marking of abrasive wheels
  • Storage, handling and transportation of abrasive wheels and associated equipment
  • Inspection and testing of abrasive wheels
  • Corrective actions applied to abrasive wheels
  • Types of abrasive wheels
  • The uses of abrasive wheels
  • Types of abrasive wheel equipment
  • Power delivery types
  • Typical operating procedures for abrasive wheels

Course Duration

Half Day, (4 Hours)

£100 + VAT per person

* Organisations associated with ECITB may be eligible to apply for grant funding

* This course must have 4 delegates to run. Maximum of 8 people per course
