ROOM HIRE & CONFERENCES

Our modern building not only provides a world-class training environment for engineering students, but also a vibrant space in which to host your event, meeting, conference, launch, or lunch.  We are flexible, respectful, and dedicated to providing a high-quality experience for all attendees.

The Engineering College is a three-minute drive from Hamilton Square train station and around a ten-minute drive from Liverpool city centre. Whether you choose to drive, hop on the train, or swim (though we don’t recommend the latter), you’ll find our 7000 sqm site tucked away in Monks Ferry, with stunning views of Liverpool’s waterfront.  As you approach the campus from Ivy Street, you’ll notice that the building, which was originally designed like a ship, extends from three floors to two, giving access to all floors at street level.

The John Alexander Brodie Conference Room

This is our second-floor conference suite and is named after John Alexander Brodie, a Liverpool city engineer who led the design of the Mersey Tunnel and invented the goal nets for football.

Spanning nearly 1,300 square feet, this room is a sight to behold.

Not only is the space itself vast, with a seating capacity of at least 100 people and a standing capacity of over 150, but the outside views are equally expansive and sublime. You can see right across Liverpool’s skyline, including both cathedrals, which further complements the immersive experience.

The Katherine Johnson
Suite Hire

This room is on the ground floor of our college and is a more intimate space that’s perfect for smaller meetings and people wanting to work more independently.

It’s named after Katherine Johnson, a pioneering NASA mathematician whose calculations were crucial in helping astronauts land on the moon and return home safely. She was also one of the first African-American women to work as a NASA scientist. The Katherine Johnson Suite is 560 square feet and can accommodate 15 to 20 people at most. Akin to the UN Embassy in its design, it’s adorned with a U-shaped table and British flag.
