Basic Welding Training

Who is this course for?

This course introduces individuals to basic welding techniques, supported by theoretical knowledge of the subject. It can cover MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA welding methods. Candidates who want to refresh their welding skills will also find this mainly practical course useful and help update their skills.

Course Outline:

The following is covered for each welding process:

  • Welding Safety
  • Process Principles
  • Welding set controls
  • Set up and preparation for welding
  • Tutored welding process as appropriate to client
  • Welding defect identification and avoidance

Welding Processes:

  • Basic MMA – 1 Week
  • Basic MIG /MAG – 1 Week
  • Basic TIG – 1 Week
  • Basic training will include all 3 processes – 3 Weeks

Progression:

If successful, candidate can achieve welding qualification BS4872 (additional costs apply)

Duration:

Variable durations bespoke to your training needs

Certification:

The Engineering College Certificate
