Earlier this month, The Engineering College partnered up with local school, Ellesmere Port Academy to promote STEM subjects to young students.
Our team has collaborated with Ellesmere Port Academy to host 21 students and their dynamic tutor in our state-of-the-art mechanical workshops, whilst they build different components of a lamp, that will become their final project.
Whilst at the college, these students developed the skills they learnt with their tutor and assistance provided by one of the college’s most experienced Mechanical tutors, Mark Thornett, to produce high quality parts, including a tube, cap and joining piece of a lamp.
