The Engineering College is opening its doors to prospective learners, schools, parents / guardians and employers during National Apprenticeship Week and inviting you to join our team on Wednesday 07th March, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm for our first Open Day of 2018!
Whether you’re a local school looking to bring a group of aspiring engineers, an individual looking to start your career in engineering or an employer looking to develop your staff and build your team, our Open Day is the perfect opportunity to access information and advice from our highly experienced team!
2018 is the Year of Engineering, and we’re putting a spotlight on the UK engineering industry. We work with more than 90 employers across Merseyside and in a range of diverse sectors, including; medical engineering, marine engineering, construction, manufacturing, metal recycling, rail, composites and energy.
We want to help shape the future of young people and the future of engineering through showcasing the many routes into engineering, from level 2 to level 5.
Interested in bringing your students along?
An invitation has been sent out to over 40 schools across the Liverpool City Region and our team are developing a number of engaging activities to get young budding engineers talking about engineering. If you’re a teacher looking to inspire your students about STEM, our open day will be packed full of engineering challenges and activities that will set their minds racing into the future!

Our highly experienced Recruitment Team will be on hand to provide you with information, advice and guidance around the range of Engineering based programmes available at The Engineering College, alongside our dedicated and experienced teaching staff; over 90% of whom have joined us direct from industry.
There will be a number of guided tours around our state-of-the-art facilities – a chance to see our newly refurbished Mezzanine workshop space, fully equipped with new CNC machinery, and our highly regarded Pipefitting workshop!
There will also be an opportunity to meet with a number of local employers, renowned for their work in the engineering industry!

As Liverpool City Region’s most successful and wide-ranging supplier of engineering apprenticeships, The Engineering College delivers both Advanced and Higher apprenticeship programmes in a number of engineering dicsiplines, with progression routes into Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in General and Mechanical Engineering.
As one of 40 Group Training Associations (GTA) set up by industry to serve industry, we put our employers and education at the very heart of what we do and value the strong connections we have with local engineering firms, both small and large.
The Engineering College offer CPD courses in areas like Health & Safety, Management, Engineering and Welding. These courses can be tailored to suit your business’s needs, and subject to demand, our courses can be delivered at a time and location that suits you.
